Carbon Series

Carbon Series

As a landscape architect used to selecting trees for their ability to “behave” in a given constructed setting, I am awed by the capacity of California’s native trees to define and thrive in their distinct ecosystems.  Many are endemic to California, with requirements so specific that they occur naturally in no other place.

Carbon series reflects on the impacts of humans – such as climate change, development, ecosystem disruption, and groundwater depletion – on these singular trees.
